Rhodes College Sorority House Upgrades

At RKA Construction, we pride ourselves on our ability to breathe new life into historic structures while preserving their timeless charm. Recently, we had the honor of undertaking a transformative project at Rhodes College, where we revitalized the iconic Tri-Delta Sorority House. This endeavor was not just about refurbishing a building; it was about honoring its rich history while ensuring its longevity for generations of woment to come.

One of the primary tasks was replacing the aged flooring with exquisite hardwood, meticulously selected to complement the interior’s aesthetic. The new flooring not only enhanced the visual appeal but also added durability, ensuring that the space would continue to exude elegance for years to come. We painted the walls, selecting hues that accentuated the architectural features while infusing the space with warmth and vitality. To illuminate the sorority house with a contemporary flair, we installed new light fixtures, seamlessly blending modern functionality with timeless elegance.

However, our dedication to revitalizing the Tri-Delta Sorority House extended beyond its interior walls. The exterior, weathered by years of exposure to the elements, required meticulous attention and care. Our skilled craftsmen replaced rotten wood, worn shingles, and restored the aging single-pane windows to their former glory.

Preserving the authenticity of the gothic stone house while enhancing its structural integrity was paramount throughout the restoration process. Every detail, from the choice of materials to the execution of craftsmanship, was carried out with precision and expertise. Our goal was not merely to refurbish a building but to honor its legacy and ensure its continued relevance in the modern era.
