Additionally, all of our operational staff is OSHA trained. What is your availability and estimated timeline for completing my project?

Our availability is determined by project size, backlog of projects, and build team availability. Usually, once pricing is established and architectural plans are confirmed, it should only take a couple of months to start the project. The timeline for completion is highly dependent on the size of the project, the materials used, and the complexity of the design.

Does RKA Construction handle any engineering or design work?

More than likely you will need to engage an architect, engineer, and/or designer on your project. RKA Construction will handle all aspects of construction on your project; however, we do not handle any design or engineering work. If you do not have an architect, engineer, or designer on your project yet, we are happy to assist you in making a selection specific to your project!

Can you provide a detailed estimate for my project, including all costs and fees?

Once you have architectural drawings, we would meet to review the plans, scope of work, and your vision for the project. Our Pre-Construction team will then take those notes and estimate initial pricing ranges to ensure your design and budget goals are aligned. The next step is to build an estimate with bids from subcontractors and suppliers to put together a detailed budget for your project.

What is your process for managing a client’s budget?

RKA manages budgets by utilizing a detailed cost tracking and management system. It enables our team to closely monitor all project expenses. This includes developing a detailed cost estimate during the pre-construction phase. Our project managers review and update the project costs throughout the construction phase and it is communicated to our clients on a routine basis to ensure there are no surprises when the project is completed.

How long will it take you to complete my project?

The timeline for completion is highly dependent on the size of the project, the materials used, and the complexity of the design. At RKA Construction, communication is key. Your build team will manage your schedule, keep in contact with subcontractors, and alert you of any potential issues that could hinder your schedule. You will be in constant contact with your project manager and superintendent through weekly updates, monthly reports, and regularly scheduled site meetings.

(Although we try to work as close as possible to the original schedule, many items out of our control can impact a schedule including timely selections, plan changes, back-ordered products or selections, and subcontractor performance and availability.)

Who will be working on my project?

Every RKA project has a dedicated project manager, responsible for the administrative operations and will be your primary office contact. As well as a site superintendent, who will be your on-site contact focused on quality control, safety, as well as supervising our talented team of trade partners. The build team is supported by our General Superintendent, Chief Operating Officer, and accounting staff.

What level of onsite activity should I expect during my project?

The level of activity on a job site can vary depending on the stage of the project. Some phases move fast and have lots of people on site, while other phases will have less manpower and will move slower. RKA tries our best to schedule all our trade partners in advance, however, due to the nature of custom construction, there will be some down days.

How does the warranty process work once my project is over?

RKA Construction provides a comprehensive warranty for all of our projects, which includes a one-year material and workmanship warranty, as well as manufacturer warranties on installed materials. During the warranty period, RKA will work closely with you to provide routine check-ins to address any issues that arise and ensure that the project meets your expectations.

Our Process

Great projects are constructed by talented craftsmen who have refined their trade through years of experience, but the construction process is more than just procuring the best trades available.
