Orthodontist Office Renovation

When the ice storm of January 2023 plagued the Mid-South, it wreaked havoc on local residences and businesses. Among the businesses that got hit the hardest was the Southern Orthodontist Specialists Clinic in Southaven, Mississippi. The storm caused multiple pipes to burst and resulted in damage that would require a complete tear-apart and remodel.

One of the biggest challenges of this job was the time frame. Therefore, putting a design and construction plan in short order was critical to the project’s success. Dr. Harrison, Fleming Architects, and RKA Construction worked as a team to ensure a plan was laid out to reconstruct the clinic, as well as ensuring that quality and craftsmanship did not get overlooked.

The overall renovation was approximately 2,500 SF and took just over 2-months to complete. We completely overhauled their waiting room, reception, offices, bathrooms, treatment rooms, x-ray and sterile labs, employee lounge, and storage areas. The state-of-the-art facility now boasts a comfortable waiting area, fully equipped treatment rooms, and cutting-edge technology integration, reflecting both Southern Orthodontic Specialists’ dedication to top-tier orthodontic services and RKA Construction’s construction expertise.
