Historic Midtown Addition

Step foot into this remarkable addition of a historic Midtown Memphis home. This 1920s house now boasts a breathtaking kitchen and living room addition that seamlessly blends functionality and aesthetics. John Harrison Jones’ innovative design harmoniously merged the existing structure with the new spaces, creating a seamless transition that maximizes natural light and offers a sense of openness.

This project included an expansion of the kitchen, overlooking the cozy new living room. Adjacent to the living room is the bar and powder bathroom. The spacious new laundry room includes beautifully refinished doors original to the house. The homeowners found the doors in the basement and knew they had to be including in their project as the perfect mix of new and old. 

Anna Lattimore’s touch of practicality and vibrance infused the space with warmth and style, resulting in a perfect balance of comfort and sophistication.
