High Point Terrance Addition

This project’s goal was to modernize a 1950’s traditional home in the High Point Terrace neighborhood. The exterior of the addition was built with a board and batten style with exposed cedar rafters. A cypress screened in porch was also added with enough space to accommodate friends and family while watching a Tigers game.

For the interior, the owner wanted a space for game watching, reading, and with the help of Midtown Cabinetry & Millwork, a master closet build out spacious enough for suits and shoes. The master closet makes a statement with the custom wall-to-wall cabinets that feature plenty of space for that shoe collection. The closet is topped off by the hidden closet behind the antique mirrors. For reading, custom bookshelves were built around the tv and are certainly a focal point. Reading is made easy with a raised skylight to provide natural light all day long.
