This couple of empty nesters in Germantown, TN decided it was time to freshen up their kitchen in order to create a more comfortable and refined space. They employed the help of Shapiro & Company Architects to help them bring their vison to life. The main objective was to open the Kitchen to the breakfast room to create a more cohesive space. The design called for new windows behind the breakfast table allowing natural light to flood the rooms. There is also a hidden TV in the bar so the couple can watch tennis while sipping their morning coffee. Another major component of the project was to improve the functionality of the laundry room which was accomplished by stealing some space from the garage.
